The whistle blowing policy is intended to enable PKIC’s staff and outside parties such as shareholders, vendors, customers etc., to report their concerns against irregularities, financial malpractices, frauds & forgeries, personnel harassment, improper conduct or wrong doing without any fear of reprisal or adverse consequences. The complaint for blowing a whistle has to be sent to whistleblower@pkic.com. However, in order to ensure fair and just use of whistle blowing option, PKIC has the right to take penal/disciplinary action if it is proved that the false complaint was lodged with malicious intentions.

Example of issues that may be reported but are not limited to the following:
a. Criminal offence (e.g. fraud, corruption or theft) committed or likely to be committed.
b. Failure to comply with any PKICs policies, prudential regulations of the SBP, laws relating to Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Code of Ethics etc.
c. KYC/AML related matters.
d. Funds or assets of PKIC used in any unauthorized manner.
e. Concealment of material adverse information.
f. Deliberate misreporting of information to the Board and regulatory bodies.
g. This policy does not cater to the employees’ dissatisfaction with the management relating to their performance evaluation, compensation, promotion, postings or personal grievances of any sorts until and unless it relates to improper conduct, wrong doing or harassment.

Complaints must include the following:
a. Subject of the complaint and the alleged event along with its timing / period.
b. The names of the persons involved.
c. If the complaint relates to a report, title of report and date it was prepared.
d. If complaint involves an event, i.e. violation of policies, regulations, code of ethics etc; its timing / period cause by the alleged / reported event
e. Documents / evidence to support the complaint.
